Nia Series

Nia blends dance, martial arts, yoga and healing arts into one exhilarating class workout that will leave you feeling energized and refreshed. Nia is an expression of you – of your unique rhythm and body language. It can be slow, fast, sensual, easy, challenging – whatever you want it to be. With Nia you will discover ways of moving that are both safe and holistic, moving organically into a state of well-being that will use every single part of your body, without pain.

Nia is for EveryBody: for all ages, sizes and shapes - no prior experience is necessary. Nia is done barefoot, and to keep you safe there is no hard impact involved. A typical class includes a warm-up, active movement phase and a meditative cool down that will take you out the door with a smile on your face and lightness in your spirit.

Integrative Restoration (iRest®) Meditation Series
(3 Series; each 6 weeks)

Fridays, 6:30 - 8:00 PM
$75 for each six-week series until two weeks before the start date, $90 thereafter

Series Dates:
Series 1 (April 13th - May 18th): Meditation for Times of Change and Transition
Series 2 (July 6th - August 10th): Meditation for Deep Relaxation and Stress Management
Series 3 (September 28th - November 2nd): Meditation for Better Sleep

Life can become challenging. When it does, it's so easy to fall into the habit of resisting what we don't want and wishing for something else. Neither strategy is likely to bring a sense of contentment or happiness. These series offers tools we can integrate into our daily lives that support welcoming whatever is happening and the realization that there is nothing to fix. The 10-step iRest® process helps us to restore a basic sense of balance, health, and ease as we navigate the ebb and flow of our daily experience. This is not a drop-in class. You must pre-register for the six-week series you want to attend and send payment prior to the first class.

Release and Refresh

As children TIME OUT is a bad thing. As adults we only wish there was TIME OUT . . . and lots of it, to boot! This series is geared toward providing a space where you can let go of the incessant pressure to get things done. Classes start with slow, mindful movement to help release tension in the body and bring attention into the present moment. Long held and fully supported Yin poses invite tight spaces to open and bring a deeper sense of ease being with things exactly as they are. Restorative poses coupled with breath work round out the practice encouraging deep relaxation and cultivating the ability to experience peaceful, timeless Awareness. This class will help you refresh body, mind and spirit so that you can return to your life ready to roll! This is an ALL LEVELS class. No previous experience with yoga is necessary.
